American Legion Riders Post 492 February meeting was opened by Director Mike
Shirley @ 7:00p.m.
All present stood & repeated Pledge of Allegiance.
Opening
prayer--followed by the Rider Response.
Minutes for February were read and
accepted by Rags, 2nd by Jack, motion carried.
Officers Reports:
Asst. Dir. Larry Clausen, Bob Ledden went to Region 4 meeting - We received a plaque
from Abate.
Treasurer/Membership-Teresa Lawrence, no activity, 34 pd members for 2009.
Tom motion to accept treasurers report-2nd by Mike.
Chaplain- Rick Nelson, not present
Sgt at Arms-Tom Bratcher, nothing at this time
Road Captain/Run Coordinator-Lynn Carnahan, May 16th Munster IN ride, meet at
Reynolds Elementary @ 10:30 leave here from post @ 10:00
Webmaster-Mike Fathman, website is updated
Old Business:
Mike Shirley will take plaque to Brookston to see if we can get the paper.
Ham/Bearn dinner--Tom Bratcher picked up 2 hams will get bowls, plates,
beans, onions etc. Help needs to be here @ post at 2:00p.m. to be ready to
serve @ 4:00p.m.
Get flyer together to post on the State Website.
New Business:
4/4/09 State Meeting in Indianapolis at the Marriott at 1:00p.m. Will meet here at the
post and leave at 9:30am...
2nd District will serve Margaritas, National Commander hosting "Comfort Warriors"
Buy sweets to give to the wounded vets that are coming home.
Good of the Order:
Change the meeting date has been posted on the website for 2 months--nobody
interested-will drop subject
Bob Ledden - stated Indy legislators bill of congress-12 years and under can't ride ATV
or off rode dirt bikes. DOT person wants protective gear on each biker.
The memorial ride to DC--leave Thursday May 21st then return Tuesday May 26th
Friday night kitchen----short on help, please come down and help out.
